‘Are you people students?’ Delhi HC flays ABVP, NSUI over DUSU poll violations

NEW DELHI: Delhi high court on Friday questioned student organisations, including the ABVP and NSUI, over alleged violations during the ongoing Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) election process.The court asked: “Are you people students? You participate in meetings to ensure elections are held as per the Lyngdoh Committee recommendations, and then you do this?”The court was hearing a plea alleging violence and other violations during the DUSU election campaign. The bench also questioned the Delhi Police over alleged cavalcades of vehicles, some without number plates, in North Campus.
