Court questions transfer of cases against Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma

NEW DELHI: A Delhi court has sought reports from Delhi Police on pleas filed by activist Harsh Mander seeking action against Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma and BJP MP Nishikant Dubey over alleged hate speech.The court sought an action taken report from the SHO of Cyber police station on a plea seeking registration of an FIR against Sarma. It also summoned the SHO of Malviya Nagar police station to explain the transfer of the complaint.In a separate matter concerning Dubey, it summoned the SHOs of Welcome and Bhajanpura police stations to appear on Oct 13 and explain the repeated transfer of a complaint seeking registration of an FIR against the BJP MP. Both matters have been listed for Oct 13.
