Former Australian cricketer David Warner has once again found himself at the centre of an Indian cinema-related social media moment. Known for his enthusiasm for Indian films and songs, particularly Telugu cinema, Warner recently reacted to an AI-generated video that shows him dancing to ‘Ala Bolelo’, a song from the upcoming Rajinikanth starrer ‘Jailer 2’.

Warner shared the AI-generated clip on his Instagram account and appeared amused by the digitally created version of himself dancing to the track. The former cricketer admitted that he was unfamiliar with both the song and the dance featured in the video, while joking that his “Bollywood Dave” avatar seemed to have picked up some impressive moves.Sharing the clip, Warner wrote, “Righto Who made this?? I have no idea what song this is or what dance I’m doing but apparently Bollywood Dave has some moves. Rate the technique out of 10. Please comment below if you’re the person who sent this.”Warner’s latest social media post is another example of his long-standing connection with Indian popular culture. ‘Jailer 2’ is the much-awaited sequel to Rajinikanth’s 2023 action entertainer ‘Jailer’, with Nelson Dilipkumar returning to direct the follow-up. The first film featured Rajinikanth as a retired jailer who is forced to confront an eccentric idol smuggler after his family becomes entangled in the conflict.The sequel sees Rajinikanth reprise his lead role, with Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Mirnaa and Rithvik also returning to the franchise. The cast further includes S J Suryah, Mithun Chakraborty, Vidya Balan, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Anna Rajan and Jatin Sarna.

The upcoming film is also expected to feature several notable special appearances. Vijay Sethupathi, Mohanlal and Shiva Rajkumar have been associated with the project, while Hrithik Roshan has reportedly been linked to a special appearance.‘Jailer 2’ is scheduled to release worldwide in theatres on October 15, 2026.
