India enjoyed a six-medal haul on a packed Friday at the Asian Games 2026 in Aichi-Nagoya, but the surge was not enough to improve its position in the overall medal standings as the competition at the top intensified.India added one gold, two silver and three bronze medals to take its tally to 23 — two gold, nine silver and 12 bronze. China closing in on 100 gold medals
