NEW DELHI: The alleged Rs 5 crore bribery allegation against Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann‘s wife Gurpreet Kaur has taken a new turn with ED summoning his brother-in-law Amardeep Singh Grewal for questioning in the case.Grewal, a prominent Punjabi film personality, was asked by ED to appear before it Wednesday, sources said, adding he sought an adjournment. ED issued a second summons for Friday for him to appear for recording his statements.Kaur had earlier denied the allegation against her and sent a legal notice to ex-Punjab and Haryana HC judge Ranjit Singh for claiming she had demanded Rs 5 crore to suppress a rape case.Grewal’s summoning comes a day after the high court ordered a CBI investigation against Mann’s OSD in another bribery allegation.ED is probing Grewal’s links to the alleged bribery deal and the role of his East Sunshine Production Pvt Ltd.The overseas transactions of the company are also being trailed to verify any bribery or alleged money laundering accusations.
