Allu Arjun celebrated 11 years of his Telugu period film ‘Rudhramadevi’ starring Anushka Shetty and Rana Daggubati. The actor who played the role of Gona Ganna Reddy, called it an “iconic” character in his filmography and thanked everyone who was part of the journey.

On Friday, Allu Arjun took to X and shared working stills from the film. He wrote, “11 Years of #Rudhramadevi. #GonaGannaReddy. An Iconic character in my filmography. Thank you everyone for being a part of this journey. EYY … GAMMUNUNDAVOYY.”Written and directed by Gunasekhar, Rudhramadevi is a period action film based on the life of Rudrama Devi, the warrior queen of the Kakatiya dynasty who ruled in the Deccan region.

Anushka Shetty played the titular role, while Allu Arjun appeared as Gona Ganna Reddy. The film also featured Rana Daggubati, Vikramjeet Virk, Krishnam Raju, Prakash Raj, Suman, Nithya Menen, Adithya and Catherine Tresa in important roles.Allu Arjun’s character became one of the memorable parts of the film.The film’s production house also celebrated the milestone by sharing a special poster on social media. The banner remembered the film as the story of a warrior queen and highlighted its themes of courage, power and valour. “11 Years of Rudhramadevi — The Legacy of a Warrior Queen! A saga of courage, power, and valour that continues to live in our hearts,” they wrote on X.The film featured music composed by the legendary Ilaiyaraaja, while Ajayan Vincent handled the cinematography. Editing was done by Sreekar Prasad and Thota Tharani served as the art director.Costume designer Neeta Lulla designed the film’s costumes. The Paruchuri Brothers penned the dialogues, while Peter Hein and Vijay choreographed the action sequences.

Allu Arjun’s next film with Atlee

Now, Allu Arjun is working on his next big release with ‘Jawan’ director Atlee. Their film is set to a sci-fi action drama named ‘Raaka’ where Allu Arjun is expected to play multiple roles. Earlier on Allu Arjun’s birthday this year, the makers unveiled the first look of the film. The poster showed part of Allu Arjun’s face covered by a wolf-like claw, with his eyes sharply focused on the camera.The film also stars Deepika Padukone as the female lead.
