Following veteran actor Nana Patekar’s passing, many celebrities took to their handles to share their condolences and fondest memories of the star. Actress Aneet Padda, was among the few young Bollywood talents to also take to her handle to remember the star.Aneet, will be seen sharing the screen with Nana in ‘Shakti Shalini,’ which has now become his final film.

Aneet Padda remembers working on ‘Shakti Shalini’ with Nana Patekar

Taking to her Instagram account, Padda fondly remembered working with Patekar on their upcoming film, ‘Shakti Shalini.’ She posted about the actor and recalled that he taught her a lot of things on the set of the film and how their first meeting had been like.She mentioned, “The first time I met Nana Patekar, sir, I barely spoke. I think I was just taking it all in. To sit across from someone so honest, so unfiltered, so unapologetically himself was an experience in itself.” Padda also added, “He was someone who lived life on his own terms, chose simplicity over the noise of fame, and reminded you what it truly meant to be an actor. Listening to him speak, watching him work, and simply being around him was a lesson I will always carry with me.”

She praised the veteran star for choosing to lead a simple and down-to-earth life and expressed how grateful and happy she was to have met him and worked with him so early in her journey in the entertainment industry. She concluded her post by adding, “I’m grateful our paths crossed, even if only for a short while, and I’ll carry it for the rest of my life. Rest in peace, Sir.”

Director Aditya Sarpotdar remembers Nana Patekar

Director of ‘Shakti Shalini,’ Aditya Sarpotdar, also remembered the veteran actor after the news of his sudden passing. While talking to PTI, he shared, “I never expected that ‘Shakti Shalini’ would be his last film. I’m deeply saddened that this will be his last work. I never thought that he would suddenly step away in this way. I’m unable to process what has actually happened. It (film) is going to be a tribute to one of the best actors of our cinema.” He also mentioned that the two had talked about the film’s post-production 10 days prior to his passing, and Patekar had expressed his excitement about watching the film.He also posted about the late actor on his Instagram and wrote, “Some losses are difficult to put into words. This is one of them. I feel incredibly fortunate and blessed to have had the opportunity to work with a true legend of an actor. But what I will remember most about him was the childlike enthusiasm he brought to every film set. For someone who had achieved so much and knew so much about cinema, there was still this wonderful sense of curiosity and excitement every time he spoke of cinema.“

‘Shakti Shalini’ release pushed to 2027

As per reports shared online by Mid-Day, producer Dinesh Vijan and director Aditya Sarpotdar have decided to move the Aneet Padda and Nana Patekar’s horror comedy film to the first quarter of 2027. The film’s teaser was released in October 2025, with the makers originally eyeing a Christmas 2026 release. Although an official release has not been announced, rumours are rife that the makers are eyeing a March 2027 release.Nana Patekar left for his heavenly abode on Thursday, October 8, after reportedly suffering a severe cardiac arrest. He was 75 at the time of his passing and was cremated with full state honors at his Donje farmhouse in Pune.
