Over the course of 15 years, legendary country music artist Kenny Rogers created, designed, and constructed his Beaver Dam Farms, which is a wide, 973-acre private estate located in Colbert, Georgia. Originally, the musician bought the property in 1983, and the next 15 years were spent renovating and reconstructing the space to turn it into stunning farmland. Here is a look at one of Kenny Roger’s biggest real estate marvels.

In 1983, Kenny Rogers bought out a 973-acre piece of land in Georgia

Originally, Rogers had purchased the vast land to make it into a place where he could decompress between music tours and other events. According to the farm’s official website, at the start, he only installed a three-hole golf course, which has now transformed into an 18-hole, par-72 championship golf course that was inspired by Augusta National. It is now one of the key features of the retreat, measuring between 5,438 and 6,300 yards with a slope rating of 139. The massive golf course also features Bermuda grass fairways and greens, paved cart paths, and automated irrigation drawing directly from on-site lakes. Some of the design elements on the course also include water hazards on 13 holes, cascading waterfalls, jet-spray pools, island tee boxes, and extensive landscaping with thousands of flowering trees and shrubs.Realtor.com also adds that the property now holds the main residence, which spans 13,000 square feet, along with a 72,000 square foot equestrian center with boarding facilities, paddocks, and training areas, as well as seven guest homes throughout the property. Each of the four villas situated on the land measures approximately 1,000 square feet each and was built with the purpose of hosting visiting friends and family.During his time at the property, Kenny would often host his ‘Kenny Rogers Classic Weekend’ tournaments at the Beaver Dam Farms, which brought together major celebrities for charity golf and tennis tournaments. Many stars also frequently visited and stayed at the estate, including names like Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Herschel Walker, Payne Stewart, Lanny Wadkins, Ray Floyd, Smokey Robinson, Woody Harrelson, James Caan, and Dolly Parton.

There is no information about who the current owner of the property is.As for Rogers, the Grammy-winning icon’s legacy lives on in the music he created and his philanthropic actions over the years.
