NEW DELHI: Cockroach Janta Party leader Ashutosh Ranka said that they would continue to protest at Jantar Mantar, as its volunteers jumped the barricades to enter the denotified protest site on Tuesday. Delhi Police detained Ashutosh Ranka, Saurav Das, Ajinkya Shinde and others in the wake of the breach.“Today 5 people entered…tomorrow 50,000 would enter until Gyanesh Kumar resigns. Protest will take place at Jantar Mantar only. We are not scared of your denotification,” Ranka said.

Today, Cockroaches waved the Tricolour at Jantar Mantar,” CJP said in a post on X sharing the video.An official notice issued on Monday has withdrawn Jantar Mantar’s status as a designated protest venue in Delhi, shifting demonstrations to three alternative sites: Ramlila Maidan, Burari Ground and CBD Ground in east Delhi.The ministry of home affairs had set up a committee to identify alternative locations where citizens could exercise their right to protest.Following the committee’s recommendations, Jantar Mantar was removed from the list of designated protest sites, the notice said.
