The AI-generated clip recreates a scene from Big B’s film, in which Amitabh Bachchan’s character explains that his name was not deleted from the voter list because a corrupt official had not issued his death certificate. As a result, a political party used his vote and cast it in Madgaon.Irani titled the video “SIR explain”, turning it into a direct jibe at Rahul Gandhi, her former rival in the Amethi Lok Sabha constituency.Rahul has recently intensified his protests against the SIR exercise, including leading a march to the Supreme Court. Several other opposition leaders have also criticised the exercise and demanded Gyanesh Kumar’s resignation over his handling of the matter.
