Back in 2023, it was reported that the famed painter and stage designer had painted a portrait of the ‘Watermelon Sugar’ singer. The painter, as reported by Vogue at the time, portrayed Styles with a striped cardigan and a string of pearls. For the portrait, Styles specially visited his studio located in Normandy to become his subject.At the time, Hockney had stated that he had not been aware of just how popular Styles was. He cited in the interview that “I wasn’t really aware of his celebrity then. He was just another person who came to the studio.” The portrait was officially debuted at the National Portrait Gallery in London that year for the world to see.
