A throwback clip featuring Salman Khan and his father Salim Khan has resurfaced online and is winning hearts across social media. The video, captured during the trailer launch event of ‘Sikandar’ in 2025, offers a glimpse into the actor’s relationship with his father and the respect he continues to show him despite being one of the biggest stars in the country.The footage, shot inside a packed theatre, shows Salman preparing to greet the fans who had gathered for the event. Before stepping out, however, he turns to his father and seeks his approval. According to the viral clip’s caption, Salman says, “Woh main fans ko dikha ke aa raha hoon (I’ll go and meet the fans),” to which Salim Khan responds, “Acha milke aao (Ok, go and meet).” The brief exchange has struck a chord with fans, many of whom have praised the actor’s humility and family values.

The video dates back to the promotional campaign of ‘Sikandar’, which saw Salman Khan take on the role of Sanjay, the benevolent king of Rajkot. The story follows his battle against a powerful politician’s son while dealing with a personal tragedy.After the death of his wife, portrayed by Rashmika Mandanna, Sanjay embarks on a mission to safeguard the lives of individuals who benefited from her organ donations. The emotional action drama generated significant buzz during its release and remains a talking point among Salman Khan fans.
Salim Khan’s health scare earlier this year
The renewed attention on the father-son duo also comes months after concerns emerged regarding Salim Khan’s health. The veteran screenwriter was hospitalised in February following a minimal brain haemorrhage. Doctors later confirmed that a medical procedure had been carried out to stabilise his condition. Following treatment and recovery, Salim Khan was discharged from the hospital in March, much to the relief of his family and well-wishers.

On the professional front, Salman Khan has a packed schedule ahead. The actor will next headline ‘Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace’, directed by Apoorva Lakhia, with Chitrangada Singh playing a pivotal role in the film.
