Speaking to PTI, Kishan referred to Ugale without naming her. “Just yesterday, one of our artists, a young television actor who was only 22 year-old, died by suicide. It is very tragic,” he said.Kishan then stressed the role of spiritual practices in dealing with emotional distress. “That is why meditation is important, spirituality is important, and prayer is important. They give us strength. Happiness and sorrow are a part of life and will continue to come and go.”He added, “Aisa koi vyakti nahin hai jo dukhi nahin hai, jisko chinta nahin hai. Lekin zinda bhi rehna hai na (There is no person who has never felt sad or worried. But we must continue to live).”The actor-politician also said, “Suicide to sabse bada paap hai. Woh aatma ko kabhi moksh hi nahin milta (Suicide is the greatest sin. The soul never attains liberation).” His comments reflected his personal religious beliefs.

Sanchita Ugale’s death and police investigation

Ugale was found dead inside a locked room at her home in Nallasopara on June 14, 2026. She was taken to a hospital, where doctors declared her dead. Police found no suicide note or suspicious object at the scene, Hindustan Times reported.Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding her death. Reports have carried claims from her family members and colleagues, but police have not announced a final finding on what led to the incident.Ugale appeared in television shows including ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ and ‘Wagle Ki Duniya’. She also played a younger Tara Rani in the Vicky Kaushal film ‘Chhaava’ and appeared in Manoj Bajpayee’s ‘Silence 2: The Night Owl Bar Shootout’.
