Salman Khan is often praised for his generosity, and actor Manoj Bakshi recently shared two lesser-known moments from the sets of the 2015 blockbuster ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan‘ that, according to him, reflect the superstar’s humble nature. Bakshi, who played Qureshi in the film, spoke about Salman’s bond with child actor Harshaali Malhotra and also recalled an incident that showcased the actor’s immense popularity among fans.Speaking to Vaarun Tiwari, Manoj remembered a scene in which Harshaali had to repeatedly eat chicken for a shot. Since multiple takes were required, she often had to spit the food out between shots. According to him, Salman stepped in without hesitation to make the young actor feel comfortable.“We were shooting for Bajrangi Bhaijaan, and that little girl (Harshaali Malhotra) had to eat chicken. Kabir Khan sir asked her to eat one piece excitedly and smile while eating. If she got a big piece in her mouth and couldn’t smile while chewing, she had to spit the chicken shreds out then and there. Salman Khan took it in his hand at least 20 times. It’s not even his own kid, and he is getting the food spat into his hand. Think of it however you want, he is great despite being such a big star.”Bakshi also shared another memorable incident from the film’s schedule. During the shoot, Salman arranged a special screening of ‘Dolly Ki Doli’ for the entire cast and crew. However, what happened after the screening highlighted the actor’s unmatched fan following.“When we were shooting for Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Dolly Ki Doli had released during that time. Salman said that he would show the film to the entire unit. Everyone went together to watch the film. Salman was also there. When we were about to go out, his bodyguards asked us to stay inside,” Manoj shared. He further continued, “The news had spread that Salman was inside, and fans surrounded the entire theatre because they wanted to meet him. They said that they would start stone-pelting if Salman didn’t meet them. He went outside, met all of them, and then they all went away. There’s so much craze for him. The aura is real because there are so many people walking with him.”On the work front, Salman Khan is currently shooting for his next untitled action entertainer opposite Nayanthara. Tentatively titled ‘SVC63’, the film marks his first collaboration with director Vamshi Paidipally and producer Dil Raju, making it one of the actor’s most awaited upcoming projects.
