The videos capture workers decorating the house with lights and festive arrangements while carrying chairs and other furniture inside the residence. Despite the downpour, the preparations continued without interruption, with several workers seen wearing raincoats as they completed the setup. Aamir’s sister was also seen arriving at the residence before the wedding festivities began.
Aamir recently confirmed his wedding while interacting with the media at the screening of filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani’s Pritam and Pedro. Speaking about the ceremony, he said, “Haan meri shaadi ho rahi hai July 5 ko aur bahut hi choti shaadi hai, ghar mein hi kar rahe hain. 5 ko bahut hi khaas din hai humare liye aur bas dono families hain, kuch khaas dost hain, chota sa ghar pe hi kar rahe hain hum log. Aur sabki duaen chahenge hum.”
He further added, “Please give us your blessings and pray that we stay happy and have a wonderful journey together. It’s going to be a very small, intimate affair at home, with only our families and a few old friends from our childhood in attendance.”
This will be Aamir Khan’s third marriage. He was previously married to Reena Dutta, with whom he shares two children, Junaid Khan and Ira Khan. After their separation, he married filmmaker Kiran Rao in 2005. The two announced their separation in 2021 and continue to co-parent their son, Azad Rao Khan.
Aamir and Gauri first met nearly 25 years ago before reconnecting years later. Their friendship eventually developed into a relationship, and Aamir introduced Gauri to the media during his 60th birthday celebrations earlier this year.
