It was confirmed that McCartney had attended Taylor Swift’s ‘garden’-themed wedding; however, he did end up performing one of his most beloved songs of all time for the ‘Opalite’ singer and the NFL player.

PEOPLE reported that the veteran legend performed the song for the newlywed couple at their wedding at Madison Square Garden. The report also revealed that fellow veteran star Stevie Nicks also performed at the wedding and gave his blessings to the couple. A statement read, “After the ceremony, Taylor’s mom Andrea invited everyone into the reception room where the stage was set up.”Paul McCartney and Taylor Swift have been vocal about their love and admiration for one another, and had even appeared for a Rolling Stone photoshoot together as well. While talking to BBC Radio recently, the veteran singer was asked about the kind of advice he would like to give to Swift, who is considered one of the most popular artists in the world right now.He had commented that, “You do see the parallel, you know the fame and the amount of fame. The worldwide fame that Taylor Swift has and that we had, but I don’t think she needs any advice to tell you the truth.” He had also shared that if she did ever need any advice, he would be happy to oblige. “I’m like the older brother to that generation, or more like the grandad, actually,” McCartney concluded.Not only that, but the veteran singer also attended Taylor Swift’s tour shows back in 2024, while she was on her ‘ERAS’ tour. The singer had been spotted in the crowd swaying to the music at Wembley Stadium in London at the time. Swift also recently shared posts about Paul McCartney’s latest album titled ‘The Boys of Dungeon Lane’, while talking about how she has “never not been inspired” by the star.As for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, both of them had been dating for more than two years before they announced their engagement last year. Since then, rumors and speculations have been going on about when and where they will be planning on getting married, with the recent bets set on Madison Square Garden. On their wedding day, multiple celebrities were spotted outside the venue dressed up in their best fits for the night as they came to celebrate the couple’s union.
