Malayalam star Prithviraj Sukumaran was recently seen in the crime thriller film ‘I, Nobody’. The actor recently talked about the intense action sequences where he revealed that the film keeps changing its style and offers something new throughout its runtime.

Why he no longer does risky stunts

In a conversation with Indian Express, Prithviraj Sukumaran explained why he has become more careful about performing dangerous stunts. He recalled a serious accident that happened while shooting another film in 2023. The injury forced him to undergo three surgeries and affected the entire production.He said, “In 2023, I was shooting for another film, and I have a reputation for doing action all by myself. I was doing a stunt sequence and I had an accident and I had a very complex injury on my left knee. I had to do three surgeries, and now I have three titanium screws in my left leg. That film had to be stalled for one year. So much money was lost, so many people had to just wait for one year. So now I carry that responsibility in my head.

Prithviraj talks about action in ‘I, Nobody’

The actor also recalled another accident that happened during the shooting of the Nissam Basheer directorial. He said one of the stunt performers suffered a serious injury, which reminded him how dangerous action sequences can be.Prithviraj said, “One of our fighters was injured on set, and he ended up getting 37 stitches behind his neck. These things happen. That’s why I’m saying, imagine if I was doing that shot and it happened to me. I would be going home for six months.” Even after his injury, the ‘Varanasi’ star said he still enjoys shooting action scenes. He praised stunt coordinator Yannick Ben and his team for making the action look realistic. He also said the style of action in I, Nobody demanded a lot from the actors but made every scene feel real.

‘I, Nobody’ is directed by Nissam Basheer and written by Sameer Abdul. The film also stars Parvathy Thiruvothu, Hakkim Shahjahan, Ashokan and Vijayaraghavan. It is currently running in theatres.
