Joey King and Maisie Williams are quite happy about joining Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman in ‘Practical Magic 2’. During one of the recent interviews, the two actresses opened up about what it was like to join the sequel film and the kind of shoes they had to fill with veteran stars Bullock and Kidman. While attending the Teen Vogue Fest 2026 at the Duggal Greenhouse in Brooklyn, New York, The two stars opened up about how it was like for them to join ‘Practical Magic 2’ cast. Talking to PEOPLE, they shared that the experience was daunting at first since they knew they had big shoes to fill.King shared how nerve-racking it was, he added, “As fans of the original film myself, we feel like when you love something as much as we already love Practical Magic, there’s just massive responsibility of joining the team and wanting to do it justice.” Williams on the other hand talked about how great of an on screen mother Sandra Bullock was. She mentioned, “It is just amazing. She’s so lovely. The nicest woman in Hollywood,” while further sharing that the actress had once reached out to both of them via text and wrote, “‘Hi, It’s your mother.’”King further added that it was an honor to work with both of the actresses. “They are the best duo ever. Nicole and I worked together a few years ago. She plays my mom in a movie, and we became really close from that, which is so crazy. I’m just such a fan of her. I’m so in awe of her. She’s the nicest person ever.”Both of the actresses also revealed that both Bullock and Kidman became close friends with them and the atmosphere on the set. King concluded, “Sandy just takes us under her wing as her daughters. It is really special to have this post-movie bond with her that we have. She sends us voice notes all the time. She’s always hyping us up. She’s just the sweetest. They’re the best.”Internationally, ‘Practical Magic 2’ is set to run in theatres on September 9, 2026. It will release in North America on September 11.
