Ex-HC judge on West Bengal SIR tribunal in Supreme Court seeking protection

NEW DELHI: A former Calcutta high court judge who is presiding over one of the SIR appellate tribunals on Friday sought protection from the Supreme Court, claiming that before elections, she and her family members were repeatedly given life threats and their home CCTV connections were disconnected by miscreants.The petitioner, who is the advocate son of former judge Anindita Roy Saraswati, complained that the first threat letter was delivered at her residence on May 30, another on May 2, followed by cutting of the wires of CCTV cameras at their Kolkata residence.
