Thalapathy Vijay‘s ‘Jana Nayagan’ continued its theatrical run on Thursday, with the film recording a slight increase in its domestic collection.According to Sacnilk, the movie earned Rs 67 lakhs in India on Day 22. ‘Jana Nayagan’ has taken its total India net collection to Rs 195.02 crore. The movie’s India gross collection has reached Rs 227.14 crore.‘Jana Nayagan’ collected Rs 153.55 crore during its opening week. The movie added another Rs 31.60 crore during its second week.The third week saw a major drop in daily earnings as the film entered the latter part of its theatrical run. Its Week 3 collection stood at Rs 9.87 crore.
Overseas earnings push worldwide total
The movie has accumulated Rs 93.20 crore in overseas gross collections so far.Combining its India gross and overseas earnings, the Thalapathy Vijay starrer has reached a worldwide gross of Rs 320.34 crore.The Tamil version remained the major contributor to the movie’s Day 22 domestic earnings. It collected Rs 58 lakhs, while the Hindi version added Rs 9 lakhs.The Tamil version registered an overall occupancy of 14.48% on Thursday. Its morning shows recorded 10.82% occupancy, followed by 14% in the afternoon.
