‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’, starring Tom Holland in the lead, has completed its second week at the Indian box office and has only furthered its box office record, surpassing the Rs 100 crore mark.

As per a report on Sacnilk, the film, on Day 15, collected an estimated Rs 5.40 crore net across 12,192 shows, according to early estimates. This comes afer the film saw a decline in numbers of around 16.3% from Wednesday, when it earned approximately Rs 6.45 crore net.The film’s estimated gross collection for Day 15 stands at around Rs 6.44 crore. With this, its total India net collection has reached approximately Rs 443.40 crore, while its gross collection stands at Rs 530.08 crore.

‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ week 2 box office collection

The Tom Holland-led film made a splash on its opening day, in India, recording an estimated Rs 334.75 crore during its first week. It added approximately Rs 108.65 crore net in its second week, making it one of the few films in recent box office history, to score an estimated Rs 100 crore at the box office in its second week.

‘Awarapan 2‘ records strong advance bookings

After enjoying an undisputed 2 week run, the film’s performance now enters a more competitive territory as it faces fresh competition from Emraan Hashmi-starrer ‘Awarapan 2’. Hashmi’s return to one of his most recognisable roles has generated considerable interest in India ahead of its release on August 14. The film’s advance bookings have shown strong momentum, backed by nostalgia surrounding the 2007 original.As per Sacnilk, ‘Awarapan 2’ recorded an advance-booking gross of approximately Rs 5.86 crore for Day 1 across 8,619 shows, with nearly 1.94 lakh tickets sold. With blocked seats, the gross total stand at an estimated Rs 8.63 crore. The film’s advance sales have placed it ahead of several recent releases, including ‘Housefull 5’, ‘Shaitaan’ and ‘Raid 2’, in terms of pre-sales.

‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ to clash with new releases

The film will face added competition with the release of Sunny Deol‘s ‘Batwara 1947’ and the new Hollywood film ‘The End of Oak Street’, which will have an IMAX release.
