NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court and its Registry will remain closed on Thursday, August 27, 2026, while Saturday, August 22, will be a full working day after the Full Court accepted a request for the additional holiday.

The change followed a request from the Supreme Court Advocates-on-Record Association (SCAORA), according to a circular issued by the Supreme Court’s Administrative General Branch.The revised schedule will leave the Court and Registry closed for three consecutive days, from August 26 to August 28. The Court calendar already lists August 26 and August 28 as holidays.The Supreme Court and its Registry will work a full day on August 22 to make up for the August 27 holiday. Registry offices will remain open until 5pm that Saturday.
