Speaking at the India Today Tamil Nadu Roundtable in Chennai, Sai Abyankkar opened up about his admiration for Vijay and the possibility of never getting to work with the actor. Since Vijay has moved towards a full-time political career after completing his final film, Sai said the opportunity now appears unlikely. “Don’t make me emotional. That’s a major chunk I will be missing in my life. It’s not possible anymore, so I don’t know what to do. It was an absolute dream, without any doubt. I would have given a 16-track album,” he said. The composer’s emotional response reflected just how strongly he had imagined collaborating with the actor.

Sai Abhyankkar also spoke about the massive transformation in Vijay’s public image. According to the young composer, Vijay has moved beyond being a star followed mainly by cinema audiences and has now reached a much wider section of the public. “He was a hero for cinema fans, but now he is a hero for everyone unanimously. That is an even bigger stage to be in,” Sai Abhyankkar said. His comments highlight the scale of Vijay’s transition as he focuses on his political journey. For Sai Abhyankkar, creating an album for an actor who commands such a huge following would have been a major creative opportunity. They did some AI video of Christopher Nolan talking about my music. I hope one day that happens for real,” he said. With several ambitious projects in hand, the composer may have missed one dream collaboration, but his musical journey is only gathering speed.
