Amid investigations into the death of actress Hayden Panettiere, new deails about her final moments are coming to light.According to the latest reports on Page Six, the actress’ boyfriend, Brian Hickerson performed CPR on her, and administered Narcan after finding her unconscious at an Airbnb in Greenville, South Carolina. The details were revealed by Brian’s brother, Zach Hickerson.As per reports, Zach discovered Hayden unresponsive on the couch at the Airbnb and reportedly found his brother asleep in a bedroom. Speaking to TMZ on Friday, he has now claimed that he arrived at the Airbnb only after being unable to reach his brother or the actress. He said he had planned to meet the couple for lunch and play indoor golf after attending church.After arriving at the property, Zach said he knocked loudly at the door, “which apparently woke Brian up from a nap they were both taking on the pull out couch bed in the living room,” he explained. They noted that when they tried to wake the actress for lunch, they “realized she was unconscious.”Zach said “I immediately called 911” while “Brian gave her Narcan” before they “jointly performed CPR while 911 was on speaker until Fire and EMS arrived,” Zach claimed.“Brian gave her Narcan,” Zach told TMZ, referring to the medication used to reverse an opioid overdose. Zach said he and Brian remained with Panettiere as first responders arrived and “tried every measure possible to save [Panettiere’s] life.”Zach also addressed the speculation surrounding the circumstances of Panettiere’s death, saying there were “a lot of assumptions, speculations and accusations currently swirling.” Refusing to add to the chatter around her death, he said the truth about Panettiere’s death would “come out” as the investigation progresses, adding that her loved ones and fans “deserve the truth.”Mourning the actress, Zach told the outlet that he’s “beyond heartbroken and devastated by this tragic and traumatic loss.”“Hayden was one of my dearest and closest friends that I loved and cared about for the last 8 years,” he added,” noting that “out of respect for her loved ones,” he hoped that “speculation and sensationalism” surrounding her death would die down.On Thursday, Hickerson’s attorney Sloan Ellis shared a statement about the ongoing investigation and asked for privacy for Panettiere’s loved ones.“Hayden’s death remains under investigation, and it is important to allow that investigation to proceed. As has been publicly reported, police confirmed there were no signs of foul play,” Ellis said. “Out of respect for Hayden’s loved ones and the ongoing investigation, there will be no further comment at this time.”Panettiere’s death was reported on August 16, with her family subsequently confirming the “unimaginable loss” in a statement.The Greenville County Coroner’s Office said there were no signs of trauma on Panettiere’s body. The cause and manner of her death remain pending further investigation.The Drug Enforcement Administration has also joined the investigation, according to sources cited by ABC News.Hickerson, who dated Panettiere on and off since 2018, was at the South Carolina home when she was found unresponsive, along with his brother Zach Hickerson. Neither brother has been named as a suspect or person of interest in the investigation. Hickerson and Panettiere had a troubled relationship. He was arrested several times in connection with domestic abuse allegations involving the actor and later pleaded no contest to two felony charges linked to an assault against her.Panettiere had also spoken about the abuse she faced during their relationship in her memoir, This Is Me: A Reckoning. Hickerson was previously charged with seven felony counts, including assault, injuring a girlfriend and trying to stop a witness from reporting a crime.
