Speculation about a discord between the actor and Sunita has been circulating for a while now. Their personal lives have come under greater scrutiny lately, especially after reports surfaced claiming Sunita had filed for divorce. Reports suggest, however, that Sunita has since withdrawn the divorce petition.

Govinda was planning to remarry, claims Sunita

Sunita reportedly opened up about what prompted her decision in a phone chat with Rakhi Sawant. As per the claim, she said Govinda was planning a second marriage, a revelation that made her rethink her decision to go ahead with the divorce.

The marriage between Sunita and Govinda has faced intense media scrutiny since news broke of her filing for divorce in December 2024. As per Hindustan Times, the divorce petition, filed under the Hindu Marriage Act, alleged adultery, cruelty and desertion. However, Govinda’s manager Shashi Sinha has since confirmed that Sunita withdrew the case.

The couple has also been in the news after Govinda was recently spotted with his ‘Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja’ co-star Komal Rani Swarnkar. Responding to the sighting, Sunita remarked, “Picture banna bhi toh chahiye. Promotion hota hai picture banne ke baad. Kya bolne ka… Beti ki umar ki ladki ko leke ghum raha hai, sharam toh aana chahiye thoda isko. Aur standard toh hona chahiye. Tumhara sugar daddy itna ameer hai, kapde toh dhang ke pehno. Humlog ko dekho kya style mein chalte hai. Very bad, he’s lost his mind.”
