Yash’s latest release ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’ has been receiving mixed reviews from the audience since its theatrical release on August 26. Recently, while speaking to the media, Yash’s mother discussed the family’s background, stating that he entered the film industry without wealth or strong support. Her comments come after Yash responded to Allu Arvind’s 2023 comments questioning the actor’s standing before ‘KGF’.

Yash did not come from a rich family

In a video shared by Rangasthalam, Yash’s mother was seen interacting with the media. “He wasn’t born to people who already had everything. Understood? We weren’t afraid back then, so why would we be afraid today? We won’t be,” she said in Kannada.She also reacted to people who keep asking who Yash was before ‘KGF’. “To those questioning Yash—asking who he is, where he came from, and who he was before ‘KGF’—I have one thing to say. I could answer them in their own language, but I will say it in our Kannada: they need to have some guts,” she said, loosely translated in English.

She recalls Yash’s success before ‘KGF’

Yash’s mother said there is no reason for anyone to question her son’s career before ‘KGF’. She mentioned that he had already given several successful films in Karnataka.“There is no need for them to lose their minds over a boy from a poor background like Yash,” she said.She further added, “Yash is not a terrorist. He was born here, raised here, and lives like a king in Karnataka. He delivered numerous films long before KGF. He was giving massive hits before KGF even happened, delivering five back-to-back hits, and the proof of that is right here in Karnataka.”She also said that Yash had already become a recognised star in Karnataka before ‘KGF’ took him to audiences across India.

Allu Aravind’s old comment returns

Yash’s mother’s comments have also brought back an old statement by Telugu producer Allu Aravind. While talking about rising film budgets and star salaries, Aravind had reportedly used Yash as an example and asked, “Who was Yash before KGF?”Yash’s mother did not mention Aravind directly or repeat his statement. However, some fans have connected the two comments and are seeing her words as a possible response to the old remark.
