Rana Daggubati has spoken about his equation with wife Miheeka Bajaj and how their demanding careers fit into their personal lives. The actor opened up about their schedules during a recent interview. He also explained why he does not see work-life balance as a reason to step away from something he loves.According to Rana Daggubati, Miheeka Bajaj currently has a busier schedule than he does. Her professional commitments have taken her to multiple cities. She also spends long hours on calls for work. However, Rana Daggubati said he enjoys seeing her pursue her interests.
Miheeka Bajaj is busier than Rana Daggubati
Rana Daggubati revealed that Miheeka Bajaj has several projects keeping her occupied. Her work has taken her to Bombay and Goa. The actor joked that she now travels more frequently than he does. “Well, now she has projects in Bombay, Goa. She travels more than I do. She’s on calls longer than I am, and I love it. It’s great,” Rana Daggubati said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India.
Rana Daggubati’s take on work-life balance
During the interview, Rana Daggubati was asked whether Miheeka Bajaj’s perspective on work-life balance had influenced him. The actor explained that he does not view his profession as something he necessarily needs to escape from. For Rana Daggubati, his association with cinema remains deeply engaging. He feels that working in the film industry offers him something that few other professions could provide. He also stressed that his career is a choice he has made for himself. “Now, I don’t see any other job or anything else that one can do in life that can keep you so engaged. And it’s not like someone’s put a gun to my head saying, ‘listen, yehi karna hai (you have to do this).’”
Why stepping away is not always necessary
Rana Daggubati believes the concept of work-life balance should also take into account how much a person enjoys their profession. For him, work does not always feel like an obligation that needs to be separated from personal life. The actor suggested that people should continue making time for activities that genuinely interest them. He also believes happiness in one’s chosen profession can be an important part of a fulfilling life.

Rana Daggubati also opened up about Miheeka Bajaj’s influence on him. He credited her with having a “Zen-like energy” that has helped keep him grounded. Miheeka Bajaj is known for her work as an interior designer. She is also a mental health advocate and an art enthusiast. During the interview, Rana Daggubati recalled a personal detail about their early relationship. Miheeka Bajaj’s favourite possession is reportedly a handmade Yoda figurine from ‘Star Wars’. Rana Daggubati had given it to her when they were getting to know each other.

Rana Daggubati explained how the gift came about. Miheeka Bajaj had asked him for something that would represent him completely. He eventually decided that Yoda was the perfect choice. “Oh, it’s actually a mould, like a handmade mould of a Yoda which we picked up at some point, somewhere. And I think when we first met, she said, ‘Okay, what’s something that represents you fully that you can give me and I can keep?’ And everything was just pointing to Yoda and nothing else. So, I said, ‘this is all the knowledge, this is where I get everything from. Keep it very carefully.’”The story offers a glimpse into the personal side of their relationship. It also shows how a small gift from their early days has remained meaningful to Miheeka Bajaj. On the work front, Rana Daggubati was most recently seen in a special cameo in the 2026 film ‘Parasakthi’. He played Michael Reddy in the movie. Before that, he appeared as Inspector Devaraj, also known as Phoenix, in the 2025 period thriller drama ‘Kaantha’. Rana Daggubati also co-produced the film.He later made a cameo as a mysterious man in the fantasy action film ‘Mirai’.
