Mahesh Babu’s son Gautam Ghattamaneni, has sparked discussion among movie fans after his ratings on Letterboxd, a popular social network and discovery platform for film lovers, drew attention online. His scores for several films, including his father’s movies and Yash’s recently released ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups,’ have particularly caught the eye of Telugu cinema fans.

Gautam Ghattamaneni’s Letterboxd profile suggests that he has watched films across multiple languages and industries, with more than 400 titles reportedly listed on his account. Interestingly, his ratings suggest that he does not automatically favour films featuring his father, Mahesh Babu. While some of the actor’s movies have received high scores from Gautam, others have been rated considerably lower. Mahesh Babu-starrers ‘Pokiri’ and ‘Nenokkadine’ are among his highest-rated films, with both receiving five stars. ‘Athadu’ has been rated 4.5 stars, while ‘Okkadu’ and ‘Murari’ received four stars each.On the other hand, ‘Brahmotsavam’ received just one star, while ‘Nijam’ and ‘Vamsi’ were given two stars each.
Yash’s ‘Toxic’ gets just half a star
Yash’s ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’ appears to have received one of Gautam’s lowest ratings. The Geetu Mohandas directorial was reportedly given just 0.5 stars out of five on his Letterboxd profile. The South Cinemaa Twitter account highlighted the rating while sharing several other scores attributed to Gautam’s profile.The post read, “#GautamGhattamaneni’s Letterboxd ratings are going viral especially his ½ for #Toxic”It also listed his ratings for films including ‘Pokiri’, ‘Nenokkadine’, ‘Athadu’, ‘Okkadu’, ‘Murari’, ‘Brahmotsavam’, ‘Sholay’, ‘Baahubali 2’, ‘Pelli Choopulu’, ‘Sita Ramam’, ‘Liger’ and ‘Kalki 2898 AD’.The ratings prompted some fans to praise Gautam for what they viewed as an independent approach to cinema, particularly given his connection to one of Telugu cinema’s biggest stars.One fan wrote that the ratings suggested Gautam was “judging films independently rather than simply favoring his father’s work.”
Gautam gives Lokesh Kanagaraj’s ‘DC’ four stars
Gautam has also reportedly rated Lokesh Kanagaraj’s ‘DC’ four stars on Letterboxd. His profile features films from a wide range of industries and genres, reflecting his interest in both Indian and international cinema. Among the films reportedly given five stars are Sholay, Project Hail Mary, Knives Out and Jersey. The Odyssey and Spider-Man: Brand New Day have received 4.5 stars. Meanwhile, Liger reportedly received the same 0.5-star rating as Toxic, while Prabhas’ Kalki 2898 AD was given 2.5 stars.

There also appears to have been a change in Gautam’s Letterboxd activity, with some ratings that had previously been discussed online reportedly no longer visible on his profile. His ratings for Toxic, Ravi Teja’s Irumudi and Suriya’s Viswanath and Sons appear to have been removed. It is unclear when or why the ratings disappeared.
‘Toxic’ continues its box-office run
Despite receiving mixed reactions, Yash’s ‘Toxic’ continues to maintain a steady presence at the box office. According to Sacnilk, the film earned an estimated Rs. 8.20 crore net in India on Day 7 from 12,894 shows. The Tuesday collection was reportedly 7.2% higher than its Day 6 India net collection of Rs. 7.65 crore. With the latest figures, ‘Toxic’ has reportedly collected Rs. 229.95 crore net in India.
