Suriya starrer ‘Vishwanath and Sons’ continued its theatrical journey on Day 21 with a stable performance. According to Sacnilk, the movie earned Rs 61 lakhs in India net collections from 995 shows on its 21st day.The latest numbers have taken the film’s overall India net collection to Rs 118.70 Cr. Its India gross currently stands at Rs 136.73 Cr.The movie has also recorded a strong performance in overseas markets. Its overseas gross has reached Rs 64.75 Cr. This takes the worldwide gross collection of ‘Vishwanath and Sons’ to Rs 201.48 Cr.
‘Hi’ records growth on Day 7
Meanwhile, Nayanthara starrer ‘Hi’ has shown a slight improvement in its first-week run. The film collected Rs 77 lakhs in India net earnings on its seventh day.The latest collection came from 721 shows. The figure marks a 5.5% increase compared with the Rs 73 lakhs earned on Day 6. ‘Hi’ had collected Rs 78 lakhs from 910 shows on its first Wednesday. The film recorded 20.3% occupancy that day. Its Day 7 occupancy improved to 22.0%.Following its latest collection, ‘Hi’ has reached an India net total of Rs 8.98 Cr. The movie’s India gross collection stands at Rs 10.42 Cr.
‘Hi’ sees strong night occupancy
The Tamil version of ‘Hi’ recorded an overall occupancy of 20.32% on Day 7. Night screenings emerged as the strongest-performing shows of the day. The night occupancy reached 27.00%. Afternoon shows recorded 18.31%, while evening screenings stood at 12.15%. Morning shows registered 13.77% occupancy. Its overall occupancy also remained above the 20% mark.‘Hi’ has now completed its first week in theatres with Rs 8.98 Cr in India net collections.
‘Vishwanath and Sons’ adds Rs 61 lakhs on Day 21
The third week has seen ‘Vishwanath and Sons’ maintain collections close to the Rs 60 lakhs mark. On Day 20, the movie earned Rs 59 lakhs in India net collections from 1,232 shows. The film recorded an occupancy of 18.5% on its 20th day. On Day 21, the number of shows dropped to 995, while the India net collection increased slightly to Rs 61 lakhs.Its occupancy also improved to 19.5%. The third-week collection has now reached Rs 9.55 Cr. The movie had already recorded Rs 4.20 Cr in India net earnings on Day 7. Its first-week collection stood at Rs 81.60 Cr.
