'Tell us where to come, schools being fixed before our visit': CJP mocks Rajasthan govt
Ashutosh Ranka said the party would continue its inspections of dilapidated school infrastructure across the state.

NEW DELHI: Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) member Ashutosh Ranka took a dig at the Rajasthan government, saying the Bhajan Lal Sharma dispensation released Rs 4,000 crore for 472 schools on the day the “cockraoches entered Udaipur”.“And a double coincidence that 30% of these schools happen to be in Udaipur,” he posted on X.Mentioning the Ranka’s post, another CJP member Sourav Das quipped: “People of Rajasthan, tell us where you want us to come. Government is releasing and fixing places before our visit!”Last month, Ranka alleged that Rajasthan Police was keeping a watch on people entering and leaving his house, hours after the organisation’s team faced a confrontation during its campaign to inspect government schools. In a post on X, Ranka said, “For the last 2 hours, Rajasthan police is surveilling every person going in and out of my house.”He challenged the police to arrest him directly if they wanted to, while insisting that he and his team would continue their campaign.“If Rajasthan Police wants, they can come and directly arrest me. But me and my team aren’t stopping till all the schools of Rajasthan are fixed,” he said. The allegation came days after Ranka and other CJP members were involved in a confrontation during a visit to a government school in Jaipur district. The CJP alleged that its team was attacked while highlighting the condition of government schools, while police said FIRs were registered on complaints from both sides.

What triggered the CJP-government row?

The CJP has been conducting school inspections under its campaign to highlight gaps in government-school infrastructure.
