Wladimir Klitschko, the former partner of late Hollywood actress, Hayden Panettiere, has filed for temporary guardianship of their 11-year-old daughter, Kaya, as he seeks to protect her inheritance from her mother’s estate.

According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly, Klitschko filed the paperwork on September 24, asking to be appointed temporary guardian of Kaya’s estate. Since she is a minor, the court can appoint a guardian to represent her interests while Panettiere’s estate goes through probate.“It is urgent and essential that Wladimir be immediately appointed Temporary Guardian of Kaya’s Estate, to afford Wladimir the necessary standing to file Hayden’s Probate Petition, and the power to nominate a proposed Administrator of Hayden’s Estate,” the court documents state.The filing further claims that without an immediate appointment, there is a risk that property belonging to Panettiere’s estate could be “lost, damaged or dissipated” before a personal representative is appointed.

Kaya sole heir to Hayden Panettiere’s estate

As per reports, Kaya is the sole heir entitled to Panettiere’s probate estate. The documents also state that some of Panettiere’s belongings, including “designer clothing and accessories” and “jewelry,” were temporarily removed from her Los Angeles home amid the ongoing investigation into her death.Panettiere passed away on August 16 at the age of 36. The Greenville County Coroner’s Office later determined that her death was accidental and resulted from the toxic effects of fentanyl and other substances. Authorities have said the broader circumstances surrounding her death remain under investigation.Panettiere and Klitschko began dating in 2009 and became engaged in 2013. They welcomed Kaya in December 2014 before separating in 2018. Following their split, Klitschko became Kaya’s primary custodial parent.
