Four- time Emmy winning actor Peter Dinklage has joined the cast of ‘Alien: Earth’ Season 2. The ‘Game of Thrones’ star is the first major cast addition to the series from creator and showrunner Noah Hawley. Details about Peter’s character are still under wraps.
Production set to begin in May
According to Deadline, Peter will be a regular in the sci-fi drama series. Production on Season 2 is expected to begin in May at London’s Pinewood Studios, home to the original 1979 movie, Alien 3 and prequel Prometheus, after Season 1 was filmed in Thailand.
‘Alien: Earth’ Season 1 ended on a cliffhanger
The show’s first season ended on a cliffhanger of sorts, with the show’s surviving characters all in one room and hybrid Wendy (Sydney Chandler) saying “Now we rule.” Showrunner Hawley told The Hollywood Reporter, “This chapter is closed, but Yutani troops are landing. The balance of power has shifted. These children have no idea what’s coming.”Adding that the last line of “now we rule is triumphant and uplifting. But cut to 10 minutes later … What is going to be happening? So I like that it has that real-time urgency to it.”
