After a successful ten-day run at the box office, Suriya and Mamitha Baiju’s ‘Vishwanath and Sons’ continues to perform steadily. On its second Monday, the family drama added decent numbers to its total. Meanwhile, Lokesh Kanagaraj and Wamiqa Gabbi’s starrer ‘DC’ recorded a decline in earnings on its third Monday.

‘Vishwanath and Sons’ collections

As per Sacnilk, ‘Vishwanath and Sons’ made over Rs 2.05 crore on its second Monday, seeing a decline of 71.9% from its Sunday collection. The film had 3,953 shows with an occupancy of 20.3%.The film’s total net collections in India reached Rs 102.70 crore, while the total India gross collections stand at Rs 118.80 crore. Talking about its international market, ‘Vishwanath and Sons’ collected Rs 1.00 crore on Monday, bringing the total overseas gross to Rs 59 crore. The worldwide gross collection stands at Rs 177.80 crore.Both the Telugu and Tamil versions had a fair share of collection, as the Telugu version made Rs 90 lakh across 1,738 shows and the Tamil one made Rs 1.15 crore across 2,215 shows.Directed by Venky Atluri, it features Radikaa Sarathkumar, Raveena Tandon, Nassar, Sudha, Kalyani Natarajan, Raghu Babu, Sunil Reddy, Rajiv Menon, Bhavani Sri, Viva Harsha, Kaali Venkat, George Maryan, Hyper Aadhi, Srija Ravi and Sarvadaman Banerjee.

Meanwhile, Lokesh Kanagaraj and Wamiqa Gabbi starrer ‘DC’ saw a fall as it made over Rs 48 lakh on Day 18. It shows a decline of 67.1% from the previous day’s collections, which was Rs 1.46 crore. On Monday, the film recorded 1,458 shows with an occupancy of 18.0%.The film’s total net collections in India come to Rs 66.18 crore, while the total India gross collections stand at Rs 76.22 crore.The total worldwide gross collection stands at Rs 99.37 crore, inches close to hitting the Rs 100 crore mark.

Occupancy of the films

Speaking of the film’s occupancy, ‘Vishwanath and Sons’ had a total occupancy of 21.83%. The film began its run with 17.77% in the morning. It gradually increased, with afternoon shows recording 19.92%, evening shows reaching 21.54% occupancy, and finally peaking at night with 27.08%.On the other hand, ‘DC’ had an overall occupancy of 17.69%. The morning shows were at 12.92%, while they increased to 17.46% in the afternoon. Later, it saw a small dip, reaching 15.23% in the evening and completing the day with 23.08% at night.‘DC’ marks the acting Telugu debut of renowned director Lokesh Kanagaraj.
