Suriya starrer ‘Vishwanath and Sons’ registered a slight rise in its domestic earnings on the third Tuesday. The film added Rs 79 lakhs to its India net collection on Day 19. The latest figure came from 1,281 shows across the country.The Tuesday collection was higher than Monday’s Rs 75 lakhs. This translates into a 5.3% day-on-day increase.
India net collection reaches Rs 117.54 Cr
The latest earnings have taken the film’s India net total to Rs 117.54 crore. Its India gross collection has reached Rs 136.09 crore so far.The Telugu version contributed Rs 43 lakhs on Day 19. The Tamil version added another Rs 36 lakhs.The film recorded an overall occupancy of 19.81% in Telugu. Morning shows registered 13.45%, while afternoon and evening screenings recorded 18.82% and 12.82%, respectively. Night shows performed better with 24.45% occupancy.The Tamil version recorded 27.62% overall occupancy. Its morning shows stood at 11.25%, followed by 16.92% in the afternoon. Evening occupancy reached 29%, while night shows registered 34.92%.
Worldwide gross crosses Rs 200 Cr
‘Vishwanath and Sons’ has accumulated Rs 64.50 crore in overseas gross earnings.Combining its domestic and international business, the film has reached a worldwide gross of Rs 200.59 crore.Its first week ended with Rs 81.60 crore in India. The second week added another Rs 27.55 crore. The film then earned Rs 2.55 crore on its third Sunday before dropping to Rs 75 lakhs on Monday.
‘DC’ records Rs 102.56 Cr worldwide
Arun Matheswaran’s directorial ‘DC’ has recorded a worldwide gross of Rs 102.56 crore. The film has earned Rs 79.25 crore gross from India, while its overseas gross stands at Rs 23.30 crore.The India net collection for ‘DC’ is currently Rs 68.87 crore. Its India share has been reported at Rs 77.28 crore, with the overseas share accounting for 22.72% of its total worldwide share.The film’s recent daily collections have remained at the lower end.
