NEW DELHI: Former Tamil Nadu deputy chief minister and leader of the opposition Udhayanidhi Stalin has been booked under multiple provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), the Information Technology Act and the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act over his alleged “double-meaning” remarks linked to actor Trisha at a public meeting in Thanjavur.The case was registered after the women’s wing of the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) filed a complaint at the Thanjavur East Police Station, alleging that Udhayanidhi made derogatory comments that insulted the modesty of the actor and demeaned women.
