‘HanuMan’ fame Prasanth Varma is back with another chapter from his mythological-superhero universe as he shared the first glimpse of the upcoming film ‘Mahakali’ starring Bollywood’s Akshaye Khanna as Shukracharya. Along with the first look, the makers also announced the release date of the film.
Akshaye Khanna plays Shukracharya
The 2-minute-53-second glimpse is titled #Shukracharya’s War Cry and gives a look at the massive world created for the film. The release teaser mainly focuses on the character of Akshaye Khanna who appears in a fierce and completely different look as Shukracharya, the powerful guru of the Asuras.He is seen with an intense look and a strong screen presence. His character appears to be at the centre of a much bigger battle.The glimpse hints at a war between Dharma and Adharma. It also suggests that the battle is much bigger than a simple fight between good and evil.
A big war is coming
Akshaye Khanna’s character is seen with a commanding monologue, saying, “Samudra manthan ke samay, devon evam asuron ke samaan shramdaan karne ke pashchaat, Vishnu ne keval devon ko amrit pradaan kiya. Yeh dharm hai, ya adharm? Indra ke sinhasan ka adhikaar hamse chheen liya gaya. Yeh dharm hai, ya adharm? Samast Asur jaati ko Paataal mein dhakel kar, 14 lok ke dwaar band kar diye gaye. Yeh dharm hai, ya adharm? Keval 14 dinon mein, Asuron ka vijay ghosh hamare kaanon mein goonj uthega. Annihilate the human race!)”The glimpse features dark and powerful visuals of the upcoming battle. It also hints that the fate of an entire world could depend on this war.Sriya Reddy also makes a powerful appearance in the glimpse.
Release date of ‘Mahakali’
The makers announced that the film will hit screens worldwide on January 8, 2027.Speaking about the cast, Rohit Saraf will also be seen in an important role, while Akshaye Khanna and Sriya Reddy are part of the main cast.
