Yash’s pan-India release ‘Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown Ups’ finally hit theatres on August 26 after much delay. While the Geetu Mohandas directorial is performing well at the box office, it has received a largely negative response from audiences. Amidst this, co-star Tara Sutaria has opened up about her experience working on the film, sharing candid thoughts on Yash and the constant comparisons actresses face in the industry.

Is Yash a male feminist? Here’s what Tara Sutaria said

In the film, Yash plays a toxic, angry and alpha character, but Tara Sutaria revealed a very different side of him in real life. During an appearance on The Male Feminist podcast, when she was asked if she would call him a male feminist, she said:“He is one of most sensitive and genuinely, he is thinking about the other person more than himself. Bohot kam hota hai hamare industry mein, ye dekhna (It is rare to see such a person in this industry). He is unlike anyone I have met. He is very considerate.”

What did Tara Sutaria say about comparison of actresses in Bollywood?

During the conversation, Tara Sutaria also addressed the frequent comparisons made between female actors. She said, “In our industry every single actress fits a different role. I don’t think you can compare anybody. Everybody is doing different work. Sometimes we are compared with one another on social media. This or that. This name or that name. They never do that for guys! I have never seen this hero or that hero.”
